day two in OUR HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!

so yesterday was move day... we hired a company to move our big things... as we settled it to the house and got some christmas decorations up, we realized good or bad, this is our HOME. neither of us have a had a home of our own since we moved out of our parent's. While going back to our parents home will always be comforting, nothing compairs to our own home!!!!

and its beautiful!!!!!! tish and doug (brian's parents)  have been with us since wed, in from Nebraska to help with our new floors and trim!!! Noreen and Stephan (Heather's parents) also came over and helped!! a lot of work was done. Brian and Doug did the floors while Tish and Noreen painted a TON of trim and fireplace pieces. Stephen did a bunch of electrical work and helped out on many jobs, we even got to see fireworks when the 40 year old dremmel died!!! Heather's main job was to remove TWO floors of laminate and partical board sub floor. Needless to say, everyone is exhausted, sore, brusied, cut up and tired!!!

we were very busy this weekend!!!!!!!!!! luckily we have great family and friends who helped us!!!!!!!! we painted and put new floors in the bathroom! and multiple other odd jobs through out the house!!!
Here are some pictures of the work we did!!!! oh ps.... grouting bathroom floors is a great way to exfoliate your hands, if you need a new technique ;) !!!! Tish and Doug will be here in just a couple days! Cant wait to see them!

today the new carpet was installed!!! here are some pics the rooms are going to look amazing with the new white trim!!!!!!! the carpet is super plush and soft! no shoes in my house ;) !!!

getting sooooooo excited for christmas over here!!!! two of heather's fav. christmas things are shopping and wrapping gifts and starbucks christmas cups!!!!!!!!!!!! ... a triple peppermint mocha for heather and triple carmel mochiato for brian is the only thing that got us working today!

we are soooooo tired, we worked really hard thur, fri, sat and sunday to get the upstairs ready for the carpet installation which is happening tomorrow morning (monday). We painted and cleaned and installed and tore things out, but we are feeling pretty good about the progress. the painting is 90% done!!! All thats left is the is the bathrooms to paint! Here are some new pictures!

Painting, and more painting...

This weekend was spent painting the entire lower level (well, minus the half bath). We picked a taupe to be our neautral. (parisian taupe at home depot).  I am personally super exited with the color we picked for the dining room. The progress is slow but getting some (good) color on the wall is defiantely helping.
